Lava substrate, County permitting, water and utility connections, materials that cross an ocean to get here, and a subcontractor pool where knowing the right people is the difference between a nine-month build and an eighteen-month one.
Caraveli has been building on the Big Island for years and was established twenty-four years ago in Southern California. We develop our own community in Waikoloa — which means we’ve carried land through entitlement, permitting and construction with our own money on the line.
How a build runs
Land & feasibility
What the lot will actually support — access, utilities, grading, setbacks and real cost.
Design & permits
We work with your architect or bring one in, then carry the plans through County.
Build
Licensed subcontractors in every trade, scheduled and supervised, with regular updates.
Finish & handover
Punch list closed, systems walked through, warranty in writing.
Building from the mainland?
Many of our clients own the land before they ever live here, and are managing a build from several time zones away.
We send regular photo updates, keep the schedule visible, and handle the County, the utilities and the trades so you don’t need to fly in to keep things moving.
And when it’s finished, we can keep looking after it — see estate management.
